We live in an era of remarkable progress in understanding how nature works at a lower level,  and are starting to unravel similarities between our silicon based computers and nature itself. We know that computation arises in a variety of natural systems, and we are looking to understand how and where the intersection of the interdisciplinary fields are.

Computer science is the field that studies how data interacts with a process and is subsequently represented as a program for a given task. Given that the field of computation, computer systems and computer science spans multiple disciplines, we will try to aim at a unified understanding where the different field intersect. Designs and theoretical applications are therefore an important part of having an understanding in how programs operate as it gives us a deeper insight into the fundamentals of processes interacting with data.

Computer science encompasses anything from theoretical models of computation to computations found in the natural world, such as chemical, biological, mechanical, neural & quantum computational models to just name a few. Computer science furthermore encompasses data representation as a language. From DNA/RNA expression in nature to machine code in silicon based computers and spike based expression in neuron activities, data formulated as designed language is present everywhere computation is happening.

Our website aims to bridge the understanding between the multiple theoretical computational branches, by interlinking the different fields and providing resources to give a better overview of the whole spectrum of computations and computational expressions.
